David Lynch to open ‘Mulholland Drive’-themed club in Paris
“Silencio, we’re drinking!”
Lynch is launching the soon-to-be-hotspot with owner Arnaud Frisch, the man behind popular Parisian nightclub the Social Club and music label Savoir Faire. Frisch will combine his own savoir faire of the music and night world with Lynch’s savoir faire of the film biz for a unique members-only space devoted to all things culture. Lynch is also involved with designing the furniture (pictured) in collaboration with designer Raphael Navot.
The nightclub, located at 142, Rue Monmartre, isn’t set to officially open until September. The club will house a bar, concert hall, art library and in-house movie theater. The idea is to create a 1920s-like Parisian “salon” that brings together an international who’s who of artistic professionals in one place and facilitate creative exchanges and even future business deals. The one-stop shop will also feature a smoking room and restaurant serving finger foods all night long so guests won’t ever have to leave until the club shuts its doors at 6 am.brb, booking plane ticket to paris in september.
